SPC have supplied their Metropolitan powered trench heaters to a prestigious office space in the heart of London.
Occupying a peaceful area of Midtown, 8 Salisbury Square offers over 155,000 sq ft of office space close to the vibrant area of Fleet Street. Boasting 10 floors, 6 of which incorporate outside terrace space, the building offers workers stunning views over London’s skyline.
Due to the amount of glass built into the design, Architects TP Bennett required a way of reducing glazing losses while retaining the aesthetics within the building. SPCs Metropolitan powered trench heaters offered the perfect solution thanks to their range of Analok grilles that matched the design criteria.
Simon King, Architect for TP Bennett said
“When buildings are designed with large areas of glass, it is important that we include a means of reducing heat loss whilst maintaining aesthetic value. We chose SPC Metropolitan trench heaters because of their quality build and the Analok grille finish perfectly complimented our internal design. We are delighted with the results”.
Jeremy Davies, Southern Regional Manager for SPC added
“We recommend powered units when enhanced heat outputs are required. The low power fans are whisper quiet in operation and use EC technology for enhanced controllability and energy efficiency.
Cool air drops into the trench and passes through the coil/heat exchanger, picking up heat and rising over the window. This warmed air helps eliminate draughts, circulating around the room before it cools and falls to the floor to enhance comfort”.
